A daughter searching for her mother meets an artist searching for her hero...

Searching for Sandy is a feature documentary - part concert film, part road movie, part character study, to be released in 2028, the 50th anniversary of Sandy’s death.
It follows Georgia Rose Lucas, daughter of folk legend Sandy Denny, as she joins acclaimed artist Josienne Clarke to uncover the woman behind the myth.
For Georgia, it’s a reckoning with absence; for Josienne, a search for her guiding light. And for Sandy, it’s the first time her legacy has been examined this closely on film.
“I’ve only recently been able to listen to her music,” Georgia told us, “but I’m ready now...” Her quiet admission speaks volumes - of grief delayed and of memory eclipsed by myth.
Through exclusive interviews, archival footage, and soul-stirring live performances, Searching for Sandy reframes one of Britain’s greatest lost talents for a new generation.
It explores the emotional cost of becoming a legend, and what happens when two women dare to rewrite the story.
Think Amy meets Searching for Sugar Man, with the intimacy of a family diary and the force of a feminist reclamation.
This is more than a music documentary. It’s a cinematic act of resurrection.
